The Farm Shop at Garsons is officially Surrey's best, as voted by Surrey Life readers, and when you visit you'll soon see why. All our staff are keen foodies who love to try all our products and many have been working with us for a decade or more, so no-one knows our food and drink better. Read on below to find out more about our produce, or visit us in store and speak to our friendly team.
The deli at Garsons is famous for its well-stocked cheese counter so it's no wonder we've won awards for our hand-picked selection! Make sure to try the award-winning Black Bomber from Snowdonia Cheese Company. You'll find many local and regional specialities alongside continental favourites and our friendly, knowledgeable team is always ready with recommendations and advice. Our team can also create bespoke stunning cheese wedding cakes. Ask in-store for more information!
Garsons also boasts the largest selection of pick-and-mix olives in the area, as well as extra-meaty pies from the Country Pies, speciality hand-made Scotch eggs in seasonal flavours and delicious vegan sausage rolls.
Discover our range of charcutier as well as our premium smoked salmon made by the Inverawe Smokehouse, holders of a Royal Warrant. And for dessert, you'll love our traditional puddings by Cartmel, especially the famous sticky toffee.
Enjoy the rustic pleasure of freshly baked bread from our in-store bakery. Made to traditional recipes using finest ingredients. With flavours including batard loaf, jalapeno & cheddar loaf, fruit and nut loaf and a Kalamata olive pave, you and your guests will be spoilt for choice. Former cook to the stars Clare Crosbie supplies us with wonderful sweet treats, including her famous chocolate brownies. You'll also find a selection of traditional cakes from Farmhouse Cookery, another family bakery which also makes our customers' favourite mince pies at Christmas, and we always look forward to our twice-weekly cake delivery from the Loseley Bakery.
We're very proud of our home-grown produce here at Garsons, so during our growing season you'll find our shelves stocked with fruit and vegetables picked that very morning on the farm. Keep a look out for our sweetest strawberries and raspberries in the summer, as well as apples, cherries, pumpkins and sweetcorn later in the year. To complement our own produce, we source the best and freshest seasonal fruit and vegetables from New Covent Garden Market each week, so you'll always find fantastic selection in store, whatever the season.
Visit the Farm Shop to discover a wide range of locally-made wines, beers, ciders and more, including gift packs. We're lucky to have some fantastic breweries nearby, so we have beers from Big Smoke, Twickenham Ales, Surrey Hills Brewery, the Goodwood Estate and Hepworth Brewery for you to enjoy. Our wine cellar holds a wide range of wines from the Denbies estate at Dorking, and we also stock award-winning British vodka, gin and fruit liqueurs from Chase Distillery as well as gin from Thames Ditton, plus much more.
The Garsons Farm Shop is a treasure trove of fine and artisan foods from across the UK and beyond, such as Tracklements from Wiltshire ('a must for mustard') and condiments and chutneys from Bay Tree. Soft drinks include Mr Fitzpatrick Cordials, with their origins in the Yorkshire temperance movement, and fruity pressés made the traditional way by family-run Rochester Drinks.
For the sweet-toothed we have Wooden Spoon's award-winning jams and preserves, including mini jars and sugar-free varieties and Bon Bon’s luxury hand-packed confectionery. If you're after local honey to help combat hayfever, visit the farm shop to pick up a jar of our own honey produced right here on the farm in our 30 beehives.
Visit us at Christmas to find festive favourites from around the world, such as Italian panettone, German stollen, Turkish delight and traditional gingerbread. We also have our own Christmas puddings, specially made for us by the Ultimate Plum Pudding Company for the last 30 years.
With so many people avoiding wheat and gluten, the range of 'free from' bakery products is expanding all the time, and the quality just keeps getting better. Cutting out gluten no longer means missing out on the joys of fresh bread, luscious cakes and speciality crackers - just visit the Farm Shop and be spoilt for choice!
For quick and convenient dinners, we have a great selection of frozen dishes from Cook, who we've been working with for 15 years since we became the first farm shop to stock their chef-made ready meals. And you're sure to find a favourite flavour amongst our range of premium ice creams, including Salcombe Dairy ice cream. Or scoop up some loose frozen berries to serve with our delightful artisan meringues.
Our Farm Shop is also proud to be a member of the Guild of Fine Foods. The Guild of Fine Foods is an association working with producers and sellers of ‘artisan food and drink’. It promotes the Great Taste Awards and the World Cheese Awards amongst other awards and initiatives.
