Introducing Allotmint Soap

Family-run garden centre Garsons Titchfield is now the exclusive stockist of a unique environmentally-friendly soap made by pupils of Wicor Primary School and local company, Southsea Bathing Hut. Called Allotmint, the bars of soap have just gone on the shelves in time for Christmas and contain black peppermint grown and harvested by the children.

Garsons PYO Farm Eco Punnets

PRESS RELEASE: Family-run garden centre and farm shop, Garsons of Esher, is mounting its own war on plastics. This summer, it has introduced fully bio-degradable cardboard punnets for its Pick Your Own fruit and vegetables and plans to phase out all plastic punnet versions by the end of this year.

The Wicor School Jack Sausage

Green-fingered pupils from Wicor Primary School have joined forces with the butchers at Garsons of Titchfield to create a new sausage using an ingredient foraged from the school grounds. The Wicor Jack Sausage has been made by Owton’s, which runs the butchery counter within the award-winning garden centre, using a wild herb called Jack by the Hedge, or Hedge Garlic, picked by the children.

Funds in the bag for marine conservation charity

PRESS RELEASE: Family-run garden centre and farm shop, Garsons of Titchfield has raised £2,138 for marine conservation along the southeast coastline, simply by asking for 5p for plastic carrier bags. The sum has been collected over a 12-month period from the sale of bags at both Garsons of Titchfield and its sister site in Esher, Surrey and will be donated to the Marine Conservation Society.

Proud to stock eco swimwear

Press release: Garsons Esher is one of the first shops in the country to stock a range of ecological swimwear made from abandoned fishing nets rescued from the oceans. The garden centre now has 12 different lines of the Ecolast swimwear from Zoggs which began life as waste material harmful to marine life.
