Meet the Makers of Christmas at Garsons Titchfield

This year Garsons has transformed both sites into The Wonderful World of Oz, taking inspiration from L Frank Baum's original book series and incorporating elements throughout the stores to create magical, whimsical Christmas displays. Planning started in January and it's been a huge team effort with the everyone getting involved to make sure every single detail is perfect!

To celebrate all that work, we want to shine a light on those who took a leading role and oversaw their themed section come to life, so, carry on reading to Meet the Makers...

THE EMERALD CITY

Sandra oversees the heart of our Christmas magic- the glittering Emerald City has been her favourite. Her role begins in January, when the creative planning process takes shape. She carefully develops the overarching theme and colour stories that set the tone for the entire centre. This year’s Wonderful World of Oz combines elegance, sparkle, and timeless festive style, inspiring every display to shine with the magic of the season.

THE WITCH OF THE WEST

G brings a touch of drama and enchantment to the season through spectacular lighting displays. From rich emerald tones to bold, bewitching glows, the Light Shop shines with creativity and inspiration. G loves finding new ways to showcase Christmas lights, helping customers discover that perfect sparkle to transform their own homes.

GLINDA

Lucy captures the graceful magic of Glinda the Good Witch with soft pinks, silvers, and radiant whites. She takes great pleasure in helping customers explore colour themes and styling ideas to create their own “no place like home” moment. Her display combines elegance and warmth, inspiring customers to add a little good witch sparkle to their Christmas.

GAYLETTE

Kerry has enjoyed channelling her creativity into the stunning Gaylette theme, featuring rich pinks, golds, and luxurious tones. She particularly enjoyed designing the Throne Arch, ensuring it became a striking focal point of the display. Overseeing each step from concept to completion, Kerry’s display exudes elegance, charm, and festive sparkle.

TIKTOK

This is Maria’s first Christmas at Garsons, where she has brought the TikTok theme to life. She has especially enjoyed creating TikTok himself, by upcycling a barbeque into a unique display piece. Maria’s artistic flair shines throughout the themes, adding creativity and imaginative painting that make each display truly captivating.

SCARECROW

Charlie has brought the Scarecrow to life through his charming Woodland theme. Many hours have been dedicated to hand-stitching the Scarecrow’s face, giving it real character and warmth. This creation beautifully captures the rustic charm of the great outdoors, with natural textures, earthy tones, and intricate detailing. Charlie’s Scarecrow adds a welcoming touch of countryside magic to our Wonderful World of Oz displays.

TINMAN

Mel brings heart and warmth to her Tinman Theme display, blending reds, whites, and natural wood. She has also created the striking Poppy Heart display, adding a vibrant focal point that captures the spirit of love and joy. Every detail is thoughtfully chosen to remind us that Christmas is about kindness and connection. Her passion shines through in a display that is both stylish and full of heart.

THE FINISHING TOUCHES

Lloyd creates breathtaking floral arrangements inspired by the Land of Oz. From lush Emerald City greens to the vibrant reds of the poppy fields, his designs capture the magic and colour of the story. His eye for detail and creativity transform every floral display into a true festive showpiece. Lloyd has also created the Emerald City feel throughout the centre with dazzling gazebos, and our own Emerald City castle!
