A Spectacular Year with Shooting Star!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our staff and customers, we’re delighted to share that throughout 2025, Garsons Esher raised an amazing £2000 in support of our Charity of the Year, Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

Over the past year, Garsons Esher has been proud to support Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, a local charity providing specialist care and support to babies, children, and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.

Shooting Star offers a wide range of compassionate services, including nursing care, symptom management, therapies, respite stays, and end-of-life care, as well as emotional and practical support for parents, siblings, and extended family members. Their dedicated teams create safe, supportive environments where families can spend precious time together, make lasting memories and receive care tailored to their individual needs.

Beyond fundraising, we were honoured to support the charity through donations and experiences designed to bring comfort and joy to the families they support. Garsons Esher helped facilitate the donation of 250 Care Bears, along with a variety of other stock, which will be gifted to the children and families supported by Shooting Star. These items will also be used in the hospice's own fundraising efforts, helping us support them beyond their time as our Charity of the Year.

Throughout their year, Garsons Esher supported Shooting Star Children’s Hospices in a variety of ways, including:

• Encouraging customers to donate via in-store collection pots and through the Garsons JustGiving page
• Hosting a donations drop-off point, where our customers were incredibly generous in donating items for the families supported by Shooting Star and to the charity's shops 
• Welcoming the charity to our Christmas Members’ Evening, where their dedicated tombola raised an incredible £600
• Hosting families supported by Shooting Star in our event space, The Tipi, for a private Valentine’s Day craft event, offering a special opportunity to spend meaningful time together
• Creating a heartfelt Christmas Memory Tree, where staff and customers shared messages and memories of loved ones, raising additional funds while celebrating loved ones over the festive season.

Supporting Shooting Star Children’s Hospices has been a truly special partnership for the Garsons Esher team. Every donation, event, and act of kindness from our staff and customers has helped contribute to the essential care and comfort provided to local families during some of life’s most challenging moments.
