YOUR PUMPKIN PASS QUESTIONS ANSWERED
WHAT IS A PUMPKIN PASS?
- A Pumpkin Pass acts just like a regular PYO Farm Pass, but you’ll also be able to enter our new Pumpkin Parade area in addition to our autumn PYO crops. Everyone visiting the farm from 7th October to 30th October 2022 will need to show a Pumpkin Pass booking to enter. You will need to show your confirmation booking reference email at the farm entrance. No one will be allowed to enter the PYO Farm or Pumpkin Parade without a Pumpkin Pass booking. Passes can only be booked online in advance, and will not be available at the entrance gate.
Pumpkin Passes are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable, carefully choose the day and time you book
CAN I PICK OTHER CROPS WITH A PUMPKIN PASS?
- Yes, you can, you’ll be able to visit the farm fields and pick the crops that are available on the day of your visit, as well as be able to choose from a large number of our farm-grown pumpkins, which have been moved undercover to our Pumpkin Parade towards the farm exit.
WHEN CAN I BOOK A PUMPKIN PASS?
- Pumpkin Passes are available to be booked now. We have released a number of passes per day in advance, and hope to increase this number as we head closer to October half-term and Halloween. The release of additional passes cannot be guaranteed as we will need to check crop availability and quality each day. So, try to book your Pumpkin Passes earlier in the month to enable as much choice as possible. Pumpkins are a natural product and deteriorate as time goes on however, they can be stored safely at home in a cool, dark-covered area such as a garage or garden shed until you’re ready for carving and decorating.
WHY HAVE YOU MOVED THE PUMPKINS ON THE FARM?
- We’ve carefully moved by hand thousands of pumpkins from our fields where they have grown to our Pumpkin Parade area in undercover tunnels. This keeps both farm visitors and pumpkin crops safe and dry from the autumn weather! The Pumpkin Parade is located at the end of the farm journey, where you can park before the exit and walk to the tunnels. Everyone must enter the farm at the main farm gate entrance, as signed.
HOW MUCH DO PUMPKINS COST?
- Just like a Farm Pass, the cost of your Pumpkin Pass booking will be deducted from the weight of your pumpkins, and other crops picked. All pumpkins are priced on weight and cost 99p per kg.*
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT TO SEE VISITING THE PUMPKIN PARADE?
- Inside the tunnels, you’ll find hundreds of farm-grown pumpkins lying on beds of dry straw, ready for you to choose your perfect one. There are also autumn & Halloween-themed photo opportunities too! Try to book your Pumpkin Pass as early in the month as possible to better your experience.
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY PUMPKINS?
- You will need to take your chosen pumpkins back to your car, from there, make your way to our exit kiosks where your pumpkin can be weighed and purchased.
