Garsons Raises Funds for Heroes and their Four-Legged Companions!

GARSONS TITCHFIELD, HAMPSHIRE

In 2024, Garsons Titchfield was proud to form a meaningful partnership with Service Dogs UK, a local charity that trains and provides assistance dogs to support members of the Armed Forces and Emergency Services living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

With the incredible support of our team and our valued customers, we raised an amazing £1,805.20 for this important cause.

Service Dogs UK creates life-changing partnerships by matching rescue dogs with veterans and emergency service personnel. The charity offers ongoing support as part of its heartfelt commitment to ‘those that serve’—past and present—honouring their dedication and sacrifices.

In addition, Garsons proudly supported Lee James, husband of Clare James (Director at Garsons), in his epic Atlantic rowing challenge. Lee and his teammate, Peter Sage, rowed across the Atlantic in support of Service Dogs UK—a cause close to Lee’s heart, as an ex-serviceman who served 22 years as a Royal Marine Commando.

Throughout the year, Garsons contributed in a variety of ways:

  • Supported the charity’s annual Ambassador Ball
  • Donated stock
  • Accommodated a charity stand in-store throughout the year to raise awareness
  • Created a heartfelt Memory Tree at Christmas time, inviting staff and customers to write messages in honour of loved ones. Over 550 tags were hung on the tree, keeping memories alive and raising additional funds.

Every penny raised by our customers and team members has gone directly to Service Dogs UK to support the vital work they do in our community.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this wonderful cause. Together, we've made a real difference.
