Supporting our Neighbouring Charity

Garsons, Esher were delighted to be partnered with our charity neighbour Princess Alice Hospice again in 2021 as our Charity of the Year. We've always had a strong link to the hospice being geographically so close, so it was a pleasure to work with them again.

Princess Alice Hospice provides a range of services that respond to the individual needs of patients and their families so that they can live life to the full, create memories, share special moments and when the time comes, support them through, before and after the death of a loved one.

Our fundraising has been more challenging due to Covid restrictions however, we created a dedicated charity of the year board in the exit foyer. In the summer of 2021 we were able to display a money-spinner, which proved to be very popular with our little customers. From the farm, we donated fresh produce such as strawberries and sunflowers for the hospice events. In addition, Garsons, Esher donated vouchers, stock and prizes to help support the hospice grounds, community projects and their shops. Even George, the Garsons Teddy bear has proved to be a fantastic fundraiser by donating £1 from each one of him we sold during 2021.

All funds raised by Garsons customers and team have gone directly to the charity to help run the hospice and the services they provide. We were delighted to visit the hospice to present their final figure of £3687.90 this month. Even though our dedicated year has come to a close we will endeavour to continue to support Princess Alice Hospice where we can for years to come.
