LOCATED AT THE POTTING SHED, GARSONS TITCHFIELD, HAMPSHIRE

26TH - 28TH MAY 2026

Join us this May half-term to celebrate National Children’s Gardening Week with our Make & Take events inspired by the classic children’s book, The Secret Garden. Each session will bring the green-fingered magic of the story to life by encouraging creativity and a love for the natural world.

Session times are 09:30 & 11:00. Tickets cost £7.50. Subject to availability.

TUESDAY 26TH MAY | DECORATE A METAL WATERING CAN
During this session, children will learn the importance of keeping plants happy and hydrated by decorating their very own metal watering can using acrylic pens and taking inspiration from The Secret Garden story. They will also have the chance to plant some sunflower seeds to take home and water. (Watering Can dimensions: H11 x W28 x D20cm 1.6 litres)

WEDNESDAY 27TH MAY | CREATE A SECRET COTTAGE GARDEN
In this fun workshop, children will create their very own secret garden, planted with cottage garden flower seeds and little embellishments such as a door and fence. They will take home their very own mini-English garden ready to watch grow and nurture at home.

THURSDAY 28TH MAY | GROW YOUR OWN HERBS WORKSHOP
In this workshop, children will receive their own personalised metal trowel to decorate and coastal pebbles to turn into plant labels using acrylic paint pens. They will also discover the joy of planting herb seeds to take home and water to start their very own edible secret gardens.

Each session costs £7.50 per child
Sessions are 45-60 minutes.
The recommended age range for activities is 4 - 10 years.
