Modern Calligraphy Workshop
Friday 5th June, 10 am - 12 pm
We’re excited to welcome Helen, founder of Wallace Lettering, to Garsons!
Start your day with a relaxed and creative morning as Helen Wallace guides you through a 2-hour dip pen calligraphy workshop. You’ll explore mark-making and letter/number formation, while beginning to develop your own unique hand-lettering style. During the session, you’ll create your own greeting cards and gift tags using the techniques you learn. You'll also receive a calligraphy starter kit (pen holder, nib, ink and worksheet) to take home so you can continue practising. This workshop is perfect for beginners as well as those looking to refine their skills and add more style and confidence to their lettering. It’s suitable for both right and left-handed participants.
All materials are provided. This event workshop will take place at The Tipi, Garsons, Esher, Surrey.
£50 per person, which includes:
- Up to 2-hour workshop run by Wallace Lettering, Helen
- Take home your own calligraphy greeting card and gift tag
- A calligraphy starter kit
- Complimentary drink voucher for The Orangery restaurant at Garsons* - given at the end of the event

When you confirm and purchase an event ticket booking, you are accepting that these terms and conditions form the basis of any contract between Garsons and yourself.
Includes 'Events at The Tipi', 'Make & Take at The Tipi', and other bookable events at Garsons Esher, including events held at The Orangery restaurant and Garson Farm locations.
- Garsons does not accept any liability if clothes get damaged. Events often include elements of craft, glueing, painting, colouring or planting
- Tickets are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. You are welcome to give your ticket/s to family and friends if you are unable to attend by sending them your booking email confirmation, to which the same terms and conditions apply
- A maximum of 6 tickets is permitted per booking, per transaction
- Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the event start time
- Garsons reserves the right to refuse event admission, including late arrivals
- Garsons reserves the right to cancel the event at any given time, in which case a full refund will be given
- Please notify in advance of any allergies prior to the date of the event, such as GLUE
