Hampshire Open Studios at Garsons Titchfield

GARSONS TITCHFIELD, HAMPSHIRE

We are delighted to be hosting artist Isabel Hurley, who will be showcasing her art as part of the Hampshire Open Studios series throughout the bank holiday weekend with us at ‘The Potting Shed’.

Isabel will be with us from 10am-4pm on Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th and Monday 25th August and you’ll be able to see some of her larger and smaller acrylic paintings, watercolours and also see her current work in progress. This is a great opportunity to find out more about how Isabel works as she uses expressive markmaking to create contemporary realism, building up thin and thick layers of acrylic paint in order to show detail, texture and the effect of light on what she’s painting. Brushes, palette knives, cloths, spray bottles, thumbs, fingers and lots of water are all used in the process. Isabel will also be supporting the partnership with our Charity of the Year, GAFIRS, as she creates a piece of artwork for them, whilst inviting customers to get involved and add their own artistic touches.
