Here at Garsons, we are very proud of our company history. Garsons began right back in 1871 in Esher, Surrey. As market gardeners, we farmed vegetables to supply the London wholesale markets, especially to the renowned Borough Market by London Bridge.

While continuing to farm, the business developed its retail operations, opening a farm shop, then our first Garden Centre – both on-site in Esher, Surrey.

Fast forward 128 years to 1999, a significant year for Garsons. By then a fourth-generation family business, we were looking for new opportunities following successful expansion selling plants, garden care, food and gift products. Garsons second site was purchased with the acquisition of Fontley Nurseries in Titchfield, Hampshire.

In 2021, we marked 150 years of Garsons. We are thrilled to announce another significant milestone as this year, we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of our Titchfield site. This achievement is a testament to our valued customers, and we are proud to share this time with you.

25 fantastic years at Garsons Titchfield...

Garsons purchased their second site in Titchfield, Hampshire.

Formerly known as Fontley Nurseries, the site was changed to it's current name, Garsons Titchfield.

Over the next couple of years, we significantly invested and developed the site, including building our new Farm Shop (above).

In 2009, we proudly celebrated 10 Years of Garsons Titchfield!
 

We welcomed Owton's, a local family-run butchers, offering the finest meat & poultry.

In 2015, we welcomed Aquajardin, now known as The Nature Collective, offering exotic fish, reptile and aquatic plant specialists.

We greatly expanded our retail space with the construction of our bright and spacious highlight building.

Our Restaurant was expanded, creating more seating areas and an improved outdoor terrace overlooking Garsons planteria.

We were delighted to welcome The Orangery Tea House at Garsons, a new restaurant with a range of delicious food and drink offerings.

Our till area was updated, creating a fresh new look that also echoes our company's market trader heritage.

We continue to look ahead and invest, with over 700 solar panels being installed at Garsons Titchfield - in-line with our Live, Grow, Thrive goals.
