PYO SALES ASSISTANTS

Hours: Full-time including every weekend (immediate start until end of October)
Salary: £6.41ph to £8.12ph
Location: Esher, Surrey

We have an exciting opportunity for Sales Assistants to join the Pick Your Own team at our Esher site. 

The ideal candidates will:

  • Have some experience and enjoy working as part of a highly motivated team
  • Possess excellent customer service skills, and experience in a retail environment
  • Have previous use of till systems

Our PYO Assistants are required to work every weekend (Saturday’s and Sunday’s) and either 4 mornings or 4 afternoons during the week.

We are looking for candidates to start towards the end of May (exact start date depends on the season) working through to 31st October. The working week is approximately 35 hours per week.

Preference will be given to candidates who are available for the duration of the season and without any holiday commitments.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Admin Assistant to join the Marketing team in Esher. This role’s primary function is to act as administrator for Garsons Card membership programme with large volumes of data entry and information management.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Inputting data in a timely and accurate manner onto our internal systems
  • Amending entries and updating customer details
  • Editing and proofreading marketing copy
  • Point of sale poster printing
  • Ensuring marketing literature around the centre is available

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Data input experience
  • Accurate keyboard skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills – including Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to work independently and also as part of a team

Apprentice Commis Chef

Do you have a real passion for cooking but have not necessarily considered a career as a chef? Well now is the time, as we have a very exciting opportunity for two Apprentice Commis Chefs to join our team at our fantastic Garson's Farm Restaurant in Esher.

We are looking for a driven, ambitious and passionate individual who is looking to take their first step into a Commis Chef role. You will be supported to complete the Commis Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship with the view for you to progress into a Chef de Partie role in the future.

You’ll be working for the World’s largest caterer, a Company that employ more Chefs that anyone else so we know a thing or two about developing our people for real careers. 

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity for a Commis Apprentice chef to join and learn from a team of passionate experienced chefs at a fast paced state of the art restaurant. Working with freshest seasonal ingredients picked daily from the historic Garson’s farm on which the restaurant is situated.

  • Ensure food is served promptly and work is carried out quickly and efficiently to keep up when busy
  • To prepare and follow recipes 
  • Ensure food is prepared to required standards checking for taste, presentation and quality
  • Ensure the effective control of a specific station within the kitchen
  • To carry out the directions from more senior members of the kitchen brigade
  • Ensure all food waste is minimised, recorded and where possible re-used
  • Working under the guidance of senior chefs to deliver staff meals for the kitchen and restaurant team
  • Ensure you know all about the food being prepared and cooked including any potential allergens
  • Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by what they do or what they fail to do
  • Correctly use work equipment, personal protective equipment in accordance with training and instructions provided to you
  • Be prepared to help the rest of the team in a willing and positive manner
  • Adhere to Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations and legislation

You will receive support from your Head Chef throughout the Apprenticeship Programme and be awarded opportunities to compete at culinary competitions aimed at apprentices, as well as gain further experience by supporting events within the business.

  • No previous experience is required, just a passion for food and the will to succeed.

Do you have a real passion for cooking but have not necessarily considered a career as a chef? Well now is the time, as we have a very exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Chef de Partie to join our team at our fantastic Garson's Farm Restaurant in Esher.

We are looking for a driven, ambitious and passionate individual who is looking to take the next step in their Chef career. You will be trained up in every section of the kitchen by all of our senior chefs who will support every step of the way as you learn to master all of our recipes and how to deliver them in a fast paced restaurant.

You will be supported to complete the Chef De Partie Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

Hours: Your will be working a two week ROTA with two days off per week, you will be expected to work weekends.

We have an exciting opportunity for a sales assistant/Butcher to join Bevan’s Butchers team in the farm shop in Esher.

The responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Greeting and serving customers
  • You will be trained in the various different cuts and types of meat, you will also be trained on cooking times in order to advise our customers.

We have an exciting opportunity for chefs with experience to join our expanding restaurant kitchen team at Esher restaurant.
