Charity Policy

Garsons is a family-run business and we're proud to be part of the local community. We actively support the community surrounding both our Surrey and Hampshire stores.
We endeavour to help schools, charities, clubs and other organisations through sponsorship, donations, events and education.

Our charity of the year

Garsons at Esher and Garsons at Titchfield elect or re-elect a local charity to support annually. There are charity boxes at the tills for voluntary donations, we hold fundraising events throughout the year, including collections during our summer events, and our own staff go the extra mile with sponsored activities. Thanks to their efforts, and the generosity of our wonderful customers, we have managed to raise thousands of pounds every year for worthwhile local causes.   

Charities for 2018:

Garsons Esher: We have chosen to support the Princess Alice Hospice. It costs more than £9.5 million a year to provide the compassionate care it gives patients, their families and carers and so the hospice relies on businesses like ours to ensure this much-needed support continues.

Garsons Titchfield: We have chosen to support the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. Every day, the air ambulance and its skilled crew attend to road traffic collisions, sporting accidents, collapses and many other incidents, saving lives across the Hampshire county. It costs in excess of £9,000 a day to maintain this life-saving service.

In addition, three charities have floral buttonhole appeals at till points.


We are pleased to make donations in the form of gift vouchers, where possible, to local causes.  Applications should be made by email at least six weeks before your event, outlining your cause.


Growing with Schools is Garsons’ gardening campaign, designed to inspire a love of gardening in children. This is achieved through both sponsorship and advice from our team, given to local schools and playgroups.
