Garsons is a family-run business and we're proud to be part of the local community. We actively support the community surrounding both our Surrey and Hampshire stores.
We endeavour to help schools, charities, clubs and other organisations through sponsorship, donations, events and education.
Garsons at Esher and Garsons at Titchfield elect or re-elect a local charity to support annually. There are charity boxes at the tills for voluntary donations, we hold fundraising events throughout the year, including collections during our events, and our own staff go the extra mile with sponsored activities. Thanks to their efforts, and the generosity of our wonderful customers, we have managed to raise thousands of pounds every year for worthwhile local causes.
Garsons Esher: We have chosen to support Harrison's Fund. Set up in 2012 by a local family from nearby Cobham after their son was diagnosed with Duchenne - a rare genetic condition which affects all the muscles in the body. Every £25 raised this year will buy an hour’s research to find a cure for Duchenne, a type of muscular dystrophy which affects around 2,500 children and young adults in the UK.
Garsons Titchfield: We have chosen to support Breast Cancer Haven Wessex. Offering free counselling, therapy and health advice to those affected by breast cancer. Without any government funding, the charity helps around 800 people locally and every £1,000 raised will provide vital support for one person living with breast cancer.
In addition, three national charities have floral buttonhole appeals at till points throughout the year.
We are pleased to make donations in the form of gift vouchers, where possible, to local causes and fundraising events. Applications for consideration should be made by email at least six weeks before your event, outlining your cause. email@example.com
Growing with Schools is Garsons’ gardening campaign, designed to inspire a love of gardening in children. This is achieved through both sponsorship and advice from our team, given to local schools and playgroups. If you're a local school and would like to be a part of our Growing with Schools campaign please contact us via email to be considered firstname.lastname@example.org
