Garsons Charity of the Year 2018 Success Story

Garsons Charity of the Year 2018 Success Story

Each of our ‘Charity of the Year’ organisations that we worked together with during 2018 has been a tremendous success story down to our customers kindness and generosity.

Garsons Esher: With your help we managed to raise an amazing £6,000 for the Princess Alice Hospice. The Christmas period alone brought in nearly £4,500 of that figure as you generously made donations into charity boxes at the tills, collection buckets at our reindeer enclosure and at our popular late-night festive shopping events. For the first time, we hosted one of the Hospice’s Memory Trees, enabling customers to remember loved ones by placing a dove decoration on a lit-up Christmas tree. By the end of the festive period, the tree was covered with around 1,000 memory doves, each inscribed with personal and moving messages and accompanied by a donation to the charity. Thank you.

Garsons Titchfield: You helped to raise a huge £4,383 to keep Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) off the ground. The annual appearance of two live reindeer in the run up to Christmas brought in more than 80% of the total figure with collection buckets near their enclosure. And funds were further boosted by charity boxes at the tills and donations made at our popular late-night festive shopping events. Thank you.
