PICK YOUR OWN
From May to October Garsons have over 100 acres of crops exclusively for pick-your-own harvesting. A choice of over 40 crops and 5 types of flowers can be picked throughout the warmer months and many new varieties of certain crops mean that they are available for a greatly extended season. Nowadays for instance, strawberries, raspberries and many vegetables can be picked from early summer, right through September, until the first frosts. |

SEASONAL DELIGHTS
Picking-your-own fruit and vegetables and enjoying them at the peak of freshness makes healthy eating a positive pleasure in summer. Strawberries and raspberries can be picked from June until the first autumn frosts at Garsons, but don’t miss the shorter seasons for gooseberries, redcurrants and blackcurrants. Garsons succulent blackberries can be picked from July to September and make a perfect culinary partner to the Bramley apple crop. The flavour of Cox’s eating apples is incredible when they are freshly harvested, so make a point of visiting the orchards in late summer.
Cherries are a much more delicate proposition, but so utterly delicious that Garsons has invested in a state-of-the art crop protection system to help them survive late frosts and attacks by the local bird population!
